Inspired by the book 365 A Daily Creativity Journal by Noah Scalin, we are each setting out to create our own 365 projects. We're deciding our themes and will post our results here.

Sarah Day 13 June 23

Sarah made a tree from tongue depressors and those same green scraps.

Tina Day 12 June 22

More Ed Emberley.

Sarah Day 12 June 22

Sarah drew this tree, mainly using v's.

Tina Day 11 June 21

As I kid I LOVED Ed Emberley. he has such awesome drawing books. He lives in Ipswich and when I was in elementary school he used to come into school and show us how to draw things. I bought his books for my kids when they were smaller, they just don't truly appreciate him.

These are very simple cat drawings.

Sarah Day 11 June 21

Sarah made a tree using a paper towel roll and a hot plate/trivet.

Tina Day 10/365 June 20

I used the scraps that Sarah used for her tree yesterday and made cat face.

Sarah Day 10 June 20

Sarah mad ethis tree from straws and reused green paper scraps.

Tina Day 9/365 June 19

Busy day at work. Did a pencil drawing of a cat's face once I got home. The pracctice one I did on an envelope was actually much better!

Sarah Day 9 June 19

Tina 7/365

Origami cat today, had to do it without the origami skilled boy, he was at scouts.

Sarah Day 7

Today Sarah cut "shadow trees" - I'm not sure if that's what they're really called. That's her problem for not doing her own blogging :)

Tina 6/365

Posted late, but the knitting was done on time. I knit another cat, this time it's a "Zombie Kitty" The designer is Kahra Grae, the pattern was free on Ravery. Her etsy site link is
http://www.etsy.com/shop/cheezombie

This was fun and quick, I may need to knit more. The boy wanted this one before I even started knitting.

Sarah Day 6

Posted late, but created on the 16th.

Sarah drew a tree on Microsoft Paint.

Sarah Day 5

Today we played with clay, Sarah made two trees from Model Magic.

Tina 5/365

Today I played with clay, Model Magic to be specific. Initially I made the cat, then I ended up making the second piece the face. I may eventually make that one into a magnet. The general opinion is that it looks like a cookie(I'm not sure if that's good or bad...) At some point I'm going to wish I saved the second cat for another day's project....

Sarah Day 4

Sarah's day 4 project is a tree made from yarn.

Tina 4/365

Today I'm back to yarn, but no knitting.

This is just a cat made with yarn glued to paper. Not very impressive, but still a cat.

Tina 3/365

It's not pretty. I probably should've stayed with the knitting! I tried to draw a cat. I perused the internet to find instructions. My rough draft on the back of a notebook page was better than the final, but here it is anyway.

Sarah Day 3

Sarah's 3rd tree.

Sarah Day 2

Sarah's second tree was created with pipe cleaners and beads.

Tina 2/365

My second cat is also a knitted kitty. This time from a pattern. It's "Knitted Kitty". Here's the link if you're interested http://geobabe.livejournal.com/227621.html

It still needs a face and whiskers, but the cat itself is done.

Sarah Day 1 June 11, 2011

Sarah's day one creation. Created on June 11th - her fifteenth birthday. We were late taking a picture. Sarah's theme is trees and plants. For the first project she stamped a tree.

Tina Day 1/365

Well, I've started, today is day one. My goal is to do something creative every day for the next 365 days. At this point my theme is going to be cats. It's very loose - anything that relates to cats in any way to me. If need be down the road I reserve the right to alter my theme as long as I do SOMETHING creative every day.

Today I have created the world's saddest looking cat! Hopefully you can tell it's cat. I knit it without a specific pattern thinking I could wing it. It really didn't come out exactly as I'd hoped.
